  • Why have permanent make-up?

Everyone wants to look the best they can, naturally. Think how convenient it would be to enjoy perfectly shaped eyebrows, wide-awake, pretty eyes and beautifully contoured lips, without the effort of time-consuming makeup rituals. All subtle, soft and perfectly in place with no smudging, no mess, no problem.

With permanent makeup you have the confidence of knowing you look the best you can look, right round the clock.

  • Am I suitable for permanent make-up?

Permanent make-up can last for many years but this is dependent on several factors including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle.

Deborah Oliver recommends a colour refresher treatment every twelve to eighteen months to maintain perfect results.

  • Is permanent make-up safe?

Absolutely. All pigments are made of natural minerals that are specifically selected for their safe, non-toxic and hypo allergenic properties. They are trusted by technicians and cosmetic surgeons throughout the world. ophthalmologists actually recommend eye procedures for women sensitive to conventional cosmetics.

  • Does permanent make-up hurt?

The procedure is performed with your comfort in mind. For this reason, Deborah applies an anaesthetic gel prior to treatment to minimise discomfort.

  • What if I don't like the result?

Deborah takes great care to discuss treatments she knows will enhance your face or body the way you want it to. Because she takes so much trouble with this initial personal consultation, no client has ever been unhappy with the end result. Such care may not be universal in the industry, however, and numerous new clients have come to Deborah asking her to correct or improve treatments done elsewhere.

  • Is permanent make-up expensive?

Not really. It's difficult to give a price because treatments are tailor-made to your individual requirements - it could be a simple beauty spot, an eyeliner procedure or more complicated work. If you balance out the cost against the lasting results that permanent cosmetics give you, the treatment offers really good value. But just call us, tell us what you want and we'll give you a price.

Compared with many other cosmetic enhancements, for example dermal fillers and Botox which require frequent and costly maintenance, permanent makeup is a comparatively low cost option. However, in the cosmetic industry it is usually the higher end of the market, which will deliver the most effective results. For this reason, quality of service should guide your decision rather than price alone when considering any cosmetic procedure.

  • Health & safety standards?

Rest assured the equipment used is the latest and most technologically advanced. Like medical equipment, permanent cosmetic equipment is safe by design against cross contamination. Fully disposable 'single use only' applicator cartridges are used, for your complete safety and peace of mind.

All equipment selected and used by Deborah Oliver is fully inspected by the Health and Safety executive and complies with all Health and Safety requirements.

  • Do Nouveau Lashes damage the natural lash?

No. Nouveau Lashes do not damage the natural lashes unless incorrect after care takes place. The natural lash will not be damaged unless they are pulled out deliberately with the Nouveau Lashes attached to them.

  • Is Nouveau Lashes application painful?

Nouveau Lashes application is not at all painful; in fact it is considered one of the most relaxing beauty treatments available today. You are required to lay down with your eyes shut for a minimum of 90 minutes, when you open your eyes you will have long, naturally curved, beautiful lashes.

  • Are Nouveau Lashes suitable for everyone?

Nouveau Lashes are not suitable for everyone, especially if you are a low maintenance girl or guy with hardly any spare time, nor are Nouveau Lashes suitable for clients with no existing eyelashes.

  • Are Nouveau Lashes expensive?

Nouveau Lash prices will vary from technician to technician, the length of time it takes to apply the lashes and the amount of lashes used will be taken into account when charging each client. If you want a perfectionist to do your Nouveau Lashes its worth paying that little bit extra. It is also worth bearing in mind the price is in line with all other specialised cosmetic treatments.

  • How long will Nouveau Lashes take?

A full application of Nouveau Lashes will take a minimum of 90 minutes, maximum 2 hours. Maintenance procedures will take around 30 minutes.

  • How long do Nouveau Lashes last?

The average life cycle of a single natural lash is 90 days. The maximum time Nouveau Lashes last is 2 months, however it is not unusually for clients to loose a lash extension if it is placed on an old lash.

  • Why do you have to have maintenance?

Some Nouveau Lash extensions will begin to fall out at the end of the 2nd week; this is why you need to have maintenance every 2-3 weeks if you want your Nouveau Lash extensions to last and look fabulous.

  • Are Nouveau Lash extensions similar to hair extensions?

Nouveau Lashes can be compared to hair extensions but in the hands of an inexperience hair extension technician you can damage your hair and your hair gets thinner. This is not the case with any lash extensions your eyelashes will not get shorter nor will they become sparse.

  • Are Nouveau Lashes adhesives safe?

Nouveau Contour have odourless medical grade adhesive for sensitive eyes and this does not come in contact with the skin or the eyes. The only substance that can cause reactions is the adhesive on the medical tape. The medical tape is our 2nd option used to seal down the lower lashes if the anti wrinkle pads are not sufficient. These clients are normally allergic to plasters.
